Our Story

If there's one word that defines our brand, it is Commitment.

Jahnke Consulting Inc. began as an independent Long Term Care Insurance Brokerage. After over 35 years of selling long-term care insurance (LTCi) and seeing our clients struggle to find quality care and navigate the complex claims process, we shifted our focus to LTCi Claim Advocacy.

​

We created a proprietary system that provides our clients with access to LTCi expertise, vetted care resources, and professional oversight throughout the entire claims process.

​

Our services adhere to Professional Certification Criteria for Patient Advocacy. We offer a comprehensive management service specifically for Long Term Care insurance claims. This includes handling communication and correspondence, meeting recertification requirements, managing documentation requests, providing professional care provider referrals, and developing problem-solving strategies. We represent the claimant and their family members for the duration of their claim.

Linda Jahnke

Owner - Jahnke Consulting Inc.

Board Certified Patient Advocate

In 1987, Linda sold her first long-term care insurance policy, and together with her husband, they built a successful agency.  Transitioning the company to offer claims advocacy was a natural extension of their client-centered approach.

Linda and her husband live in San Diego, CA and have four grown children and four grandchildren.  They love visiting their grandchildren and go hiking whenever possible.

Janel Sechser

Case Manager

Janel has spent her life dedicated to supporting those around her. She began by owning a massage therapy business for 13 years, utilizing a unique approach of orthopedic modalities for treating repetitive injuries, whether the person was an athlete, workforce employee, or just an individual or family member. Her practice then evolved into a caregiving role, specifically treating clients with Parkinson’s disease. This shift created lasting relationships with families, even after their loved ones had passed on. These roles demanded physical strength, intuition, and a thoughtful, caring touch.

Janel feels like an old soul, especially during her visits to Sun City, AZ, and when playing family card games. You definitely have to be on your toes and ready to react in these fun moments! She has a mid-century mindset, and hey, all styles do come back around!

​

Janel is comfortable being the eyes, ears, and voice for anyone needing support in their life. Her caregiving mentality has evolved into a very natural and focused approach that Jahnke Consulting aims to bring on a daily basis.

Lori Piedra

Operations Manager

Lori brings a wealth of diverse experience to our team. She spent 21 years as a veterinary technician, managing both small animal clinics and horse farms. Her expertise in medical clinics and record-keeping for over 1,000 horses has transformed our operations. Additionally, Lori is a tech enthusiast who has developed a custom database for our company and with the office nickname of "Special Ops" is at the ready to create a new form or process to simplify the company workflow.

Lori has been a Ramona, San Diego County resident for 38 years.  She and her husband have two teenage sons and love going on road trips and camping together.  Lori has also been leading worship at her church for over 20 years and loves singing as loud as she can in her car.

Amy Perez

Customer Support

As an experienced Office Coordinator, Amy provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office. Amy applies the skills she developed in a new and exciting setting as our Customer Support agent. She assists with everything from client communication to taking on new challenges and learning opportunities as they arise. 

 

Amy lives in beautiful San Diego, CA! She enjoys exploring nature in the surrounding areas, especially with her dog Evangeline. In her free time, she loves reading and is always planning her new adventure, whether traveling to new places or discovering hidden gems.

Grace Jahnke

Billing Specialist

Grace works remotely within the billing department for Jahnke Consulting. Seeing her mom's empathy and passion for patient advocacy has inspired her to look deeper into what families can face when seeking care for loved ones. Maintaining a strong sense of purpose through fighting for those who need the most help has spilled into other facets of her life as well.

 

In her free time, Grace enjoys volunteering with wildlife, caring for her rescue pets, riding rehabilitated Mustangs, and implementing ecological restoration efforts within her community. She is currently finishing her Restoration Ecology degree at Colorado State University and looks forward to continuing her journey with Jahnke Consulting.
